Digestive aid, may have slight sedative effect, antibacterial (seeds)

Common Uses
Use in tea to aid digestion: steep a teaspoon of dried leaves in a cup of hot water. Leaves may be used in cooking, fresh, frozen, or dried. Chop them for use in cooking, or add whole leaves to salad. Seeds have been used in a poultice for healing skin sores.

Locating and Handling
Leaves are usually available at grocery stores in the spice section (dried) or in the fresh vegetable area. Also grown easily from seed.
